Leigh Lezark for H&M

This excites me to no end. I’m a huge fan of Leigh which is mainly down to her style. She has a certain edge to her dressing that is hard to obtain. Yes, she wears a hell of a lot of black but by no means is it ever boring. They’re usually teamed with some bad ass shoes and a killer stare. With her razor sharp bob and that beautiful porcelain skin it’s easy to see why H&M have jumped on this beauty. The Misshapes DJ will help launch its first ever shop-in-shop in London’s Selfridges department store on August 25 at 9.30am. She will also guest-curate an exclusive selection of the latest key fashion collections and accessories.

When talking about the new venture she had this to say;

“I love shopping at H&M and I always make sure to visit Selfridges when I am in London. I’ve worked with H&M on many occasions and when they approached me to curate a collection especially for their new, first ever, shop-in-shop, I was delighted. My philosophy on both beauty and fashion is to be yourself and find your own style, so for me the new edited down H&M at Selfridges is an ideal shopping destination,” says Lezark. “The curated pieces are, I feel, modern classics everyone should have in their wardrobe – and I have tried to throw in some colour too!”

I know, I know..

Yes, I know that these images have hit every fashion website and blog today but I just can’t resist. They are breathtaking. How I love Mario Testino. Kate and Jamie look incredible.

I will be getting my grubby little mitts on this tomorrow.

Carine for Barneys

After Carine Roitfeld left her post as editor in chief at Vogue Paris everyone was left guessing as to what the madam would do next. Well, the questions have been answered.

Barneys of New York have enlisted the help of Carine for autumn/ winter 2011-12. The queen of  provocative images has been enlisted as guest editor and stylist during this time period.

Carine has called on her nearest and dearest, daughter Julia and son Vladimir, to pose for the campaign. She wanted to give it a ‘personal’ feel and she certainly did. These images are intimate and beautiful.

Of Julia she says, ‘Here she looks like I did when I was 18, but prettier’.

It’s a great sign of things to come from the former editor.

This is what she had to say on the new project:

“To be on the other side with the retailers and buyers is new for me, and I always like new opportunities in my life. When I was doing my styling, most of the time I was thinking about a real woman who was going to wear the clothes. Sometimes I was thinking about myself, sometimes about a woman who really inspired me, but it was always about the woman. Working with Barneys, and choosing the looks, I was thinking about whether a real woman would buy this outfit and feel beautiful and comfortable.”

The Summer So Far

Since I have been absent here for a number of months I thought that the best way to make up for this would be to put up a number of images that I have loved over the summer months.

I hope that you enjoy them as much as I have. 🙂

CK One Lifestyle

Ck One’s  lifestyle line which includes; jeanswear, underwear and swimwear is launching globally on March the 1st and to celebrate this they have released a multimedia advertising campaign.

Steven Miesel shot the film imagery and it features the likes of; Lara Stone, Abbey Lee Kershaw and boxer Robert Evans. I think the video is fresh, energetic and makes me want to bounce (and to work out like hell to get a body like Lara’s).

Enjoy 😉

I’m super excited. I have just purchased tickets for one of my all time favorite bands ‘Suede’ who are coming to Dublin for a three night stint in May. I myself am heading to the night dedicated to the album ‘Dog Man Star’ on the Wednesday the 25th of May.

Bring it on!!

Here are some images of the ever beautiful Brett and the lads.
